Affectionately known as Dila and Janice, the Indonesian duo secured a straight-sets victory over Ukraine/Denmark pair Marta Kostyuk and Clara Tauson, winning 6–3, 7–6. While they controlled the opening set with confidence, the second set proved to be a tighter contest, where their composure in the tiebreak ultimately made the difference.
This result marks a strong start for the Indonesian Srikandi on one of the biggest stages in women’s tennis. Their solid teamwork and mental resilience were key factors in overcoming a challenging opponent.
In the second round, Sutjiadi/Tjen will face the winner of the match between sixth seeds Cristina Bucșa/Nicole Melichar-Martinez and the duo of Eri Hozumi/Wu Fang-hsien.
